its simply a huge puzzle of basic forms.
try to build complexity step by step....i just start from a small idea and normally dont know how the final will be like.
my pool of ideas is every information my senses catch....this pile gets mashed up . the parts that want to get out are likely to be drawn. since the incoming information even changes while drawing the drawing has a continous growing base of information
...you should upload some drawings from you somewhere so i can see the way you draw.
basics about drawing:
-do basic forms and learn how to fuse them to more complex forms
-practice shaders a lot
-learn basics of perspective
-drawing things from reallife is a very good way to learn about those.
there you can get a good feeling how things are supposed to look.
it's for most ppl easier to compare the drawing with a real object than comparing it really well with the own imagination.
